Get Your Gitch

Or underwear, knickers, panties, underoos, whatever your preferred slang for the basics that almost all of us wear on a daily basis.

Victoria Secret loves to mail out coupons for free underwear. Nothing fancy but I also have no idea where they get this mailing list. I recently received one in the mail. If you are less fortunate and do not receive such mailings, you can sign up for their Pink Nation. They will also email you offers through this. Usually, the Pink Nation coupons require a purchase of some time but it can still help you get free(ish) goods with minimal work.
Today I cashed in my coupon that stated no purchase necessary. Retail $7.50 paid 0

Aerie posted a $10 off any purchase coupon on their Facebook page. This is good through tomorrow(5/1). The catch? You have to "like" their Facebook page before you can print off the offer. However, this is relatively easy to undo if you want after printing the coupon. The great thing about this coupon, there is no minimal purchase required. Aerie is having one of those great sales where almost the entire store is on sale. This did not intrigue me, what did was their sale of the clearance undies 5/$15. Some how when my purchase was rung and the coupon taken off my total came to $4.75. Upon review of my receipt it turns out each pair rang up at 2.95. 4 are retailed at $7.50, one at $9.50. My total retail price $39.50, my purchase price $4.75.

Target occasionally surprises me with their clearance. Case in point today when I found two pair of Gilligan O'Malley unders for $1.00 each. Retail price $5.00. If you use a redcard(the Target credit card) you now get 5% off your purchase. If you bring your own bag, you get another .05 off. Assuming you just bought two pairs of unders, but really who can walk into Target and only buy what you need? Anyway, you could get them for even less, well .15 cents less. However, that would mean paying $1.85 vs. $2.00.

Total damage for the day for new gitch? $6.75 for 8 pairs of underwear or .84 cents a pair. Retail price $57, making a total savings of 88%
